Open WhatsApp With the Message Already Written

A WhatsApp button that opens an empty chat quietly asks your visitor to do the work. They have to decide what to say, to whom, and about what — and a good share of them close the app instead of typing.

A WhatsApp link on your Linkhiver page can now open the chat with the first message already in the box:

Hi! I'd like to book an appointment.

Nothing is sent for them. The visitor still presses send, exactly as before. What changes is that the hardest part — starting — is already done.

Where to set it

Open the WhatsApp link in your Links editor. Under the phone number there is a Prefilled message field. Write the sentence you want the chat to open with, save, and your page does the rest.

What to write in it

The ones that work name the thing the visitor came for:

• Barbershop or salon — "Hi! I'd like to book an appointment."
• Clinic — "Hello, I'd like to ask about availability this week."
• Shop — "Hi! Is this still in stock?"
• Freelancer — "Hi! I saw your page and I'd like a quote."

Keep it to one line. It is an opening, not a form — anything longer tends to get deleted before it is sent.

One thing worth knowing: the message you write is the same for every visitor, whatever language their phone is in. Write it in the language your customers actually message you in.
