See Why a Link Gets Clicked: Per-Link CTR Deep Dive
Your Links page already tells you how many people saw a link and how many clicked. Deep dive tells you why: daily trend, click-through by traffic source, devices, countries and where the link ranks among yours.
Every link on your Linkhiver page already shows two numbers: how many visitors saw it, and how many clicked. That gives you a click-through rate — but a rate on its own never tells you what to change.
Deep dive does. Open any link's stats and there is a new entry at the bottom: one tap opens a panel that reads the link's traffic the way an analyst would.
What you see
- A real insight, first. One sentence about this link, chosen from your own data: "Visitors from Instagram click this link 3× more than visitors from Google", "Click-through is down 40% vs the previous 30 days", "82% of clicks come from mobile". If there is not enough data for a pattern yet, it says plainly how many people saw the link and how many clicked.
- Daily views and clicks for the last 7 or 30 days, with the click-through rate and how it moved against the period before.
- Click-through by traffic source. Not just where visitors came from — how often each source actually clicked. Instagram, TikTok, Google, WhatsApp, direct visits, and Instagram DMs when you use auto-reply.
- Devices and countries for the clicks on this one link.
- Rank. "#2 of 9 links by click-through", next to your profile's average.
Why "clicked by" and not just clicks
A click count rewards the link at the top of the page. Click-through — clicks divided by the people who actually scrolled the link into view — is the number that says whether the link earns its spot. Linkhiver has counted per-link views since July, which is why every row on the Links page now reads "1.6% of 254 who saw it", and why Deep dive can compare sources on equal terms: a source that sends 40 visitors and 8 clicks is doing something a source with 300 visitors and 8 clicks is not.
What to do with it
- One source clicks far more than another? That is the audience the link was written for. Move the link up for them, or write a second link for the other audience.
- Click-through fell while views held? The link's promise stopped matching what people want this week. Change the title or the thumbnail before you change the destination.
- Most clicks are mobile? Check the destination on a phone. A page that loads slowly or asks for a login loses the click you just earned.
- A link ranks last by click-through? Either it belongs lower on the page, or it belongs somewhere else entirely.
Free and Pro
The insight sentence is free for everyone — it is your own number, and you should see it. The four sections underneath (trend, sources, devices and countries, rank) are part of Pro, alongside the site-wide breakdowns on the Analytics page. Open Deep dive on a free account and you will see the sentence, then a preview of what the full panel looks like.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find Deep dive?
On the Links page, press the stats icon on any link row. The popover shows total views, clicks and CTR — Deep dive is the entry below them.
What counts as a view?
A link is viewed when it scrolls into a visitor's screen on your public page. Per-link views only started being recorded on 16 July 2026, so a link older than that can show more clicks than views — its clicks were being counted before its views were.
Is the click-through rate here the same as on the Analytics page?
It is the same rate the Links page shows on every row: clicks divided by people who saw that link. The Top Links table on the Analytics page divides by profile views instead, so its percentages are lower by design.
Does it work for galleries?
Not yet. Deep dive covers links in this release; galleries keep their views-and-clicks popover.
Open your Links page and tap Deep dive on the link you care about most.
