Social Media Bio Generator

Every platform wants a different bio. TikTok gives you 80 characters; a LinkedIn headline should not say “links below”. Pick your niche and platform and get ideas already shaped for it. Writing an Instagram bio? Use the Instagram bio generator instead.

What changes between platforms

  • TikTok’s 80 characters is the tightest limit anywhere. Cut the explanation and keep the role and the call to action — nothing else survives.
  • A LinkedIn headline is not a bio. Lead with what you do for whom, skip the emoji, and never point at a link “below” — LinkedIn has its own fields for that.
  • YouTube gives you room, but the first line is still all most people see. Treat the rest as the part that shows up in search, not the part that gets read.

FAQ

Why isn’t Instagram one of the platforms?

Because it has its own tool. An Instagram bio has enough of its own conventions to deserve a dedicated generator, and splitting them keeps each one focused rather than making both vaguer. There is a link to it at the top of this page.

Are these character limits current?

They were correct when this tool was built, but platforms change them without announcing it — LinkedIn’s headline went from 120 to 220 characters at one point. The live character count next to each suggestion is what to trust; if your platform accepts more or less, go by what it tells you.

Why does the LinkedIn option not add a call to action?

Because “all my links below” is wrong on LinkedIn. The platform has dedicated website and contact fields, so a headline pointing downwards reads as someone who has not used it. LinkedIn suggestions are a role line and a supporting line, nothing more.

Can I use the same bio everywhere?

You can, but the limits alone make it awkward — a bio written for YouTube will not fit TikTok, and one written for TikTok looks thin on LinkedIn. Generate one per platform and keep the same first line if you want consistency.
