UTM Link Generator

Add campaign tags to any link so you can see exactly which bio, post, or newsletter sent the traffic. Pick a preset, fill in the campaign, and copy the tagged URL — it is built right in your browser.

Getting UTM tags right

  • Keep every value lowercase. Analytics tools treat “Summer” and “summer” as two separate campaigns, which quietly splits one campaign’s numbers across two rows.
  • Use hyphens instead of spaces — “spring-sale” stays readable in reports where “spring sale” turns into noise.
  • Source and medium are the pair that actually attributes the visit. Campaign alone tells you what you ran, but not where it came from.

FAQ

What are UTM parameters?

They are five optional tags you add to the end of a URL — source, medium, campaign, term and content. They change nothing about the page; they simply travel with the visit so your analytics can report where it came from.

Which UTM parameters do I actually need?

Source and medium are the pair that attributes a session, and campaign is what makes the report readable. Term and content are optional and mostly useful for paid ads or A/B tests.

Do UTM tags work with a link-in-bio page?

Yes. Tag the link you put in your bio and every visit arrives labelled, so you can tell Instagram traffic from TikTok traffic instead of guessing. If the tagged link points at a Linkhiver page, you also see the clicks on each individual link.

Why does capitalisation matter?

UTM values are case-sensitive in most analytics tools, so Summer and summer become two different campaigns and your numbers get split in half. Lowercase everything and the problem disappears.

Tag the link, then see every tap

UTM tags tell you which platform sent the visit. A free Linkhiver page tells you which link they tapped once they arrived.
